6 - Start Relay

Remove the compressor relay, check to see if the

start relay is to specification. The relays for high

starting torque compressors, models "X" (e.g.,

FF 8.5BX / FF 10BX and FFI 12HBX), must

notnot

not have

a bridge (copper wire) between terminals 11 and

13. This connection must be

made through the start capacitor.

For the other models, however,

where the use of the capacitor is

not obligatory, the relays must

have a bridge connecting

terminals 11 and 13.

6.1 - Electromechanical relay "F and PW"

6.1.1 - With the relay in the vertical

position, coil downwards,

check if there is continuity

between relay terminals

10 and 11. If not, change

the relay.
